Joachim Franz

Joachim Franz brings over 25 years of experience within the automotive and mobility industry. He commenced his career as a Management Consultant at Accenture, collaborating with automotive manufacturers and suppliers worldwide across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Between 2007 and 2010, he managed the development of Accenture's automotive consulting practice from Shanghai. In 2012, Mr. Franz transitioned to Volkswagen, where he held several senior leadership positions focused on sales performance management, digital transformation, and customer experience. Most recently, he was responsible for leading Volkswagen’s global Digital Business and Mobility Service operations. Since January 2022, Mr. Franz has been overseeing Microsoft's global business with German-based automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and clients in travel and transportation.

Mr. Franz is recognized for his strategic vision, commitment to operational excellence, and ability to promote collaboration and innovation. His experience includes transforming sales organizations, driving significant growth across European and Asian markets, and shaping Microsoft's industry solutions portfolio to address key customer requirements.
